Group Therapy
Group Therapy is a special form of therapy in which a small number of people who are coping or recovering from an issue, meet under the guidance of a professional, trained therapist who facilitates emotional processing for the members of the group. Group members are encouraged to share their experiences which help members see that what they are going through is universal and that it helps to share their journey. Bangkok Psychological Services provides group therapy sessions for persons seeking therapy and support in a group of people with similar problems. Group Therapy sessions are offered on a short-term (3-6 months) basis, often in closed and small group format, for pre-selected members. Some examples of individuals who could benefit from group psychotherapy are women with postnatal depression, adults with ADHD, and persons with addiction to alcohol, the Internet, or sex, as well as those with major depression.
BPS also offers specialized group therapy that can be a meaningful addition to individual therapy or is beneficial on its own, such as the Grief Recovery Group.
